Our event is SOLD OUT! If you were not able to get a ticket this year, look out for our event starting next January. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate a waiting list or walk-ins. For those attending, consider participating in our Donation Drive for children and youth in need. Bring new clothing, school supplies or toiletry items such as deodorant, soap, lotion, toothbrush or toothpaste. Donation baskets will be available at the registration table.

AAUW San Jose and the Santa Clara County Office of Women’s Policy proudly present

Strong Girls, Strong Women 2016:

A Leadership Conference for High School Girls, Young Adults

and their Adult Allies

Conference includes:

  • Continental Breakfast & Lunch
  • Private screening of a new documentary
  • Networking fair to promote community resources and volunteer opportunities

Various tracks for Strong Girls (13+) and Strong Women. Spanish workshops available for Strong Women. Moms and Adult Advocates for Girls are encouraged to register & attend, too!

Due to the material covered during conference, middle school students at least 13 years old are welcomed if accompanied by an adult.

Space is limited, Registration is FREE but RSVP is required. No Walk-Ins accepted on Day of the event.

Donation Drive!

So you’re registered but still really want to help out? Bring NEW clothing, school supplies or unopened toiletry item (toothpaste/brush, deodorant, soap, etc.) and we’ll make sure it gets to Gifts for Teens! Donation baskets will be located at registration on March 12.

Gifts for Teens is an AAUW-San Jose (American Association of University Women) project that provides holiday gift bags to low-income, homeless, and at risk teens. In 2014, with support from SGSW donations, 1275 local teens received new toiletry items and holiday gifts for their enjoyment.
